Reward Offered for Cattle Deaths

NEAR ASHLAND, Ore. — A $6,500 reward is offered in the investigation into dead livestock near Ashland. Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife troopers need the public’s help to find the person who killed three cows and two calves.

The animals were found in a meadow near the intersection of Dead Indian Memorial Road and Keno Access Road on September 9th. Troopers suspect the calves were shot around Labor Day and the cows several days later.

The Oregon Cattleman’s Association contributed $4,000 to the reward, which will be offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest. Contact OSP if you know anything about the animals’ deaths.
