ASHLAND, Ore. — America’s only magazine geared specifically toward helping people make a retirement relocation decision says Ashland is one of the top places to move to.
The publication called “Where To Retire” is profiling Ashland as one of eight “Dynamic Locales For Walkable Living.”
The magazine’s editor says many retirees are looking for a place to spend their golden years where they can get the health benefit of walking as well as reducing the strain on wallets and the environment.
Each year, 700,000 Americans relocate to new towns to retire. Other towns listed along with Ashland for “walkability” included Sarasota, Florida; Tucson, Arizona; Boulder, Colorado; and Bellingham, Washington.
