Restaurants Expect Holiday Rush

piesMEDFORD, Ore. — Restaurants are expecting to be the dining option for many people as they start to celebrate the Thanksgiving weekend.

Few people are thinking about cooking for Wednesday night’s meal. So many local restaurants have extra staff tonight, preparing for people taking a break from the kitchen and spending time with family and friends. Marie Callender’s says Thanksgiving Eve is by far their busiest night of the year.

“All hands on deck,” said Robert Baxter at Marie Callender’s. “We actually have extra holiday help that we bring in. People’s families, daughters, sisters, whoever wants to come in and help us on the holiday.”

The restaurant has prepared 400 pies already on reservation, but say you can still get one tomorrow if you come in early enough.
