Restaurant Joins Fight to Save Toddler

6-16 helen lynnMEDFORD, Ore. – A local restaurant is joining the effort to save the life of a toddler in need of a kidney.

Three year old Helen Lynn was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure after an E. Coli infection last fall. For months the family has been rallying the community to raise money for her life saving transplant.

On Monday, Bambu restaurant in Medford joined in, donating a portion of all revenues to help the family.

“Like any parent or any person you just feel for the three year old girl,” said Bambu General Manager Elise Passante. “That’s not supposed to happen.”

Bambu says they hope to have $5,000 dollars donated by the end of the day Monday. The family, meanwhile, is trying to raise $75,000 to cover the cost of Helen’s transplant.
