MEDFORD, Ore. — Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement (MADGE) team arrested a man who allegedly had drugs and guns at residence near a middle school.
Early Thursday morning, MADGE served a search warrant at an apartment in the 300 block of North Holly Street in Medford. At the residence, MADGE investigators found twelve grams of methamphetamine, 4 ecstasy tablets, small amounts of marijuana, packaging, scales, and $496 alleged to be proceeds from drug trafficking.
Investigators also found a Tec 9-style 9mm handgun and a .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol. Investigators believe the .22 pistol may be a firearm stolen from a Central Point burglary in 2008, but MADGE says additional investigation is needed to confirm this.
The apartment is located within one thousand feet of McLoughlin Middle School. The suspect, 57-year-old Curtis Lee Hollins, who is a convicted felon, was lodged at Jackson County Jail on $1,030,000 bail. He is facing multiple charges of possession and manufacture of drugs, in addition to a charge.
