ASHLAND, Ore. — “Redwood Highway” was made in Southern Oregon and is making its local debut on Friday at the Varsity Theatre in Ashland. The feature-length film is one of many movies coming out of the Rogue Valley. In fact, the region is becoming a hub for video projects in general.
And now, researchers at Southern Oregon University are trying to find out what kind of economic impact those projects are having in the region.
Researchers sent some 500 surveys to industry players to find that out, and also find out how the area can be more movie-friendly to keep this steady flow of filming going.
The results of the research will be revealed on June 12th.
