GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Firefighters hit the streets Saturday to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Grants Pass fire crews held rubber boots in the middle of the streets to store the donations.
Last year, Grants Pass firefighters report collecting $9,000 during their boot drive. This year they hope to collect $15,000. Crews are determined to keep holding boot drives and raising money to support the Association. “The goal is to keep that support until we find a cure for it. And we have taken that goal on ourselves and we want to continue to do that until there’s a cure,” said Fire Corporal Randy DeLong.
