POSITION VACANCY POSTING
Soda Mountain Broadcasting, Inc. is accepting applications for the position of:
REPORTER
OPENING DATE: April 18, 2013
CLOSING DATE: Until filled
QUALIFICATIONS:
• College degree in journalism or related discipline required. One-year television news experience as reporter preferred. Ability to use, transport and lift video camera equipment and tripod (approx. 55 lbs.) without assistance from a grip or videographer. Proficient at shooting and editing videotape under extreme deadline pressure. Outstanding interpersonal skills; a team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Shooting, editing and writing stories for multiple content distribution platforms. Creatively producing stories and effectively using pictures and natural sound to tell a story, with strong audio/video linkage. Perform live shots from the newsroom and in the field.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
• This is a full-time position; rate of pay is hourly.
