MEDFORD, Ore. — Southern Oregon is experiencing much calmer weather and it should continue through the Memorial Day Weekend. This time of year, forest officials are gearing up for the start to recreation season.
Many boat ramps and camping areas will open this weekend. This includes the north entrance road in Crater Lake National Park, which opens on Friday.
There are more than 700 developed recreation areas in the Rogue-Siskiyou National Forests.
