High pressure will continue to usher in hot weather this week with continued warming into Thursday. Many cities will break records before the week is out with the best chance to break records on Thursday as highs will be the warmest while the records are the lowest of the next few days. Brookings broke a record high today hitting 81, the old record was 75 set back in 1981. For more on what this weeks records are compared to the forecast you can head to my Facebook and Twitter pages!

Cooler weather is on tap for the weekend with a low pressure bringing showers Sunday afternoon and evening into early next week. At this time showers look unimpressive with most activity in northern California.
Thanks for logging on and have a great evening!
