The annual ski and snowboard swap opened its doors to a line of 200 people Friday night and continues through the weekend.
As of Friday night, the event had raised 20% more money than last year, all of which goes to support about 30 kids representing 5 school ski teams in the area.
“Our program is about $1,200 a kid. We only charge $500. The rest of the money to pay for the program comes from events like this. So this is our big fundraiser for the year,” said event organizer Craig Lyle.
Saint Mary’s high school donated their gym for the event, and a number of local shops donated gear to sell.
