Reckless Driver Call Leads to Arrest

stolen vehicleWILSONVILLE, Ore. – A 29-year old man was arrested Thursday after calls came in to Oregon State Police that there was a vehicle driving recklessly on I-5.

Logan Mitchell Hansen was taken into custody after he fled the stolen vehicle on foot and was found several minutes later. OSP found the vehicle abandoned on the northbound shoulder of the interstate in Wilsonville.

After a license plate check, the vehicle came back stolen out of Medford. After searching for the man for eight minutes, officers with the Wilsonville PD found a suspect who matched the description of Hansen.

He was booked on charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, ID Theft, Theft in the Third Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. Oregon State Police had the help of the Wilsonville Police Department in the case.
