MEDFORD, Ore. — The law of supply and demand is shifting in the Southern Oregon real estate market. After the real estate collapse, buyers were in control, now sellers are getting the advantage.
The Rogue Valley Association of Realtors says the market is flooded with buyers, but few houses are up for sale. They also say the percentage of sales from foreclosed or distressed homes has gone from 60% last year, to 30% this year.
Prices are going up but realtors say they see a seller’s market for at least the next six months to a year.
