RCC Teams with Chinese University

GRANTS PASS, Ore.  — Rogue Community College has a new plan it hopes will bring more international students to its campus.

RCC is teaming with a Chinese university for the new program, which would allow Chinese students to study for two years at RCC, then transfer to Southern Oregon University or the Oregon Institute of Technology.

Officials from the Chinese university will visit the RCC/SOU Higher Education Building this weekend to learn more about the school.

“We think it’s a great idea, because of the international culture of the situation,” said RCC President Peter Angstadt. “And we think it will be a great learning experience for our students and a great learning experience for the international students.”

Angstadt said he hopes to have the program in place by the fall semester.
