A cooler day on tap with periods of rain through the day, moderate to heavy rain at times is also a possibility. The heaviest rain will fall at the coast with lighter showers on the east side. Temperatures will will be 5 to 10 degrees BELOW normal! Compare that to the 91 degree days we had a week ago in Medford, 80s on the east side and two record breaking hot days in Mt. Shasta! We have rebounded back into spring and a more active weather pattern.
High pressure will build in weakly late tomorrow bringing some afternoon sunshine and a dry start to Saturday. A weak cold front will bring out next chance for rain late Saturday, mainly at the coast into the Umpqua Basin; but a light shower could make it into the Rogue Valley by the evening. The east side will stay dry but breezy in the afternoon until the front passes overnight Saturday. Saturday will bring increasing clouds to inland areas with decreasing clouds on Sunday. For the most part the weekend will be mild and dry.
Temperatures rebound above normal on Monday with sunny skies before our next storm system brings more rain and much cooler temperatures by midweek.
