Temperatures are going to be near freezing this evening in the Valleys. Showers will be ongoing through the evening and by early morning partial clearing is expected. This will allow temperatures to drop into the low and mid 30’s, favorable conditions for frost development. So, the Rogue, Illinois, and Shasta Valleys are facing frost potential into Thursday morning, while the Klamath Basin is facing a freeze warning. Overnight lows on the East Side will reach the freezing mark, and drop even lower across some locations.
Snow levels are forecasted to be around 3,500-4,000.’ Above 4,000’ light snow showers could impact travel conditions with the roads already wet from the off and on showers all day. A brief break is expected Thursday morning into midday, before another shortwave wraps around from the North and sparks up showers again.
Temperatures should slowly but gradually warm up into the weekend as this area of low pressure lifts northward. Light and scattered showers though, will remain in the forecast into the weekend.
