A warm front will push eastward this evening and continue to bring rain to the region. Moderate to heavy at times rain is expected along the Coastline, while light rain will fall in the Valley and to the East of the Cascades. Snow levels are currently around 5,000′ and will rise to about 6,000′ by the morning, as the warmer air mass moves in place. For this reason, this system will be a mainly rain event.
Sunny skies will follow this storm as Friday is shaping up very nicely for much of Southern Oregon and Northern California. Temperatures will warm into the upper 60′s in the Valleys, but by Saturday the next system moves in. The first half of the day we’ll see increasing clouds before the rain begins along the Coast and further inland overnight. By Sunday all areas will see rain and or showers through much of the day. High pressure builds in for Monday, and then some more wet weather follows Tuesday and Wednesday.
