ASHLAND, Ore. — It’s the middle of June but the sights and sounds of football are all around Southern Oregon University. The Raiders are hosting their annual camp for high school teams. For one week, the schools that come are immersed in Raider football. The Raiders will go through many of the same drills that they run during the season, but they also allow each individual coach to have a lot of control over their own teams.
“We try to get that balance so again it’s not two hours of doing the same thing for the kids and it kind of gets a good mix,” said defensive backs coach and camp director Nathan Chin.
“Our Southern Oregon coaches will work with them in certain drills but they have time to take their team away to work on their own offense, their own defense and install and help them get ready for fall,” said head coach Craig Howard.
