A ridge of high pressure is now building into the Northwest. This is going to bring sunny skies to the region both today and tomorrow, but cool temperatures. A cold front will move by to our north on Halloween and this will bring cloud cover, but showers should stay from the Umpqua Divide and north. Trick or Treat will be dry, but chilly! Bundle the kids up.
Computer models continue to show a significant rain and snow event moving into Southern Oregon for the weekend. This will bring valley rain and mountain snow. However, with snow levels dropping to roughly 3,000 the foothills will pick up snow through the passing of this system. Showers will linger into Sunday before another disturbance moves in Monday bringing more wet weather.
