YREKA, Calif. — Nearly one year after more than a million dollars in gold was stolen from the Siskiyou County Courthouse, the Sheriff is serving search warrants at four addresses of possible suspects.
February 1, 2012, the display case that housed the large gold nuggets was bashed in and it was all caught on surveillance video. DNA was discovered at the crime scene but there have been no matches found.
The Siskiyou County Sheriff is not yet releasing any information about this week’s developments in the case or if they now have suspects in the case.

I hope they do catch them!
I was also wondering, being the insurance has already paid on the theft, wouldn’t the gold, if recovered, belong to the insurance company now?
