Police Search for Possible Witness

Fire Not-SuspectMEDFORD, Ore. — Medford Police have now released surveillance pictures of a man they say may have information on a grass fire that burned in the field behind Pet Country on July 24th.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, which burned approximately one acre and damaged some power poles. Investigators determined the fire was human caused.

Police are asking the public’s help in identifying and/or locating the man pictured in this article. He is described as a white male adult in his mid 50s, about 5’8-5’9 tall; he has a stocky build with a reddish tint to his hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a tank top, shorts, and riding a mountain bike.

“We would like to not only identify him but talk to him. So, we have been trying since Wednesday to figure out who he is and we can’t do that. We’ve kind of struck out. So, we’re asking the public’s help,” said Lt. Mike Budreau.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Medford Police, 770-4783.
