Police Remove I-5 Sheep in South Medford

MEDFORD, Ore. – Two stray sheep which have meandered around South Medford just off of I-5, have been taken to a more typical environment for farm animals.

After receiving numerous complaints and inquiries regarding the sheep near Barnett Road and exit 27 along the Interstate, Medford Police & Oregon State Troopers contained them Monday evening. For many months it remained unclear where they came from, and who their owners were.

Now, the sheep are in their element, at Sanctuary One in Jacksonville. The facility is a nonprofit care farm for not only animals but people too, to achieve mutual healing.
