MEDFORD, Ore. — Medford Police say a press conference paid off: they now know who was standing outside a Medford bar when a valley cab driver picked up his killer. On Tuesday, the department released surveillance photographs of the area outside of Howie’s on Front in downtown Medford.
Officers were after the identity of a few of the people because they wanted to ask them about what they may have seen. Once the pictures aired on NewsWatch12’s earlier newscast, those four people contacted Medford police and are no longer of interest.
On Tuesday afternoon the family of a murdered Rogue Valley man joined Medford Police at a press conference updating the latest on the investigation. Valley Cab driver William “Huey” Huson was last seen on his birthday ten days ago and police are still looking for tips. Medford Police say they have received more than a hundred tips since their investigation began last week, but say the number of tips have waned over the past few days.
Huson’s wife, Susan, spoke at the press conference and urged anyone with even the smallest piece of evidence to contact the police. There is currently as much as $1,500 offered as a reward for any information that could lead to an arrest.
