Police Release Name of Homicide Victim

Police Release Victim NameASHLAND, Ore. — Police are releasing new details into the suspicious death investigation NewsWatch 12 first reported on Friday.

Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies are working with Medford Police, Oregon State Police, Ashland Police, and the Central Point Police Department on the case. It’s a Major Assault and Death Investigation Unit (MADIU) case.

Police report the autopsy results show the cause of death as a homicide. The victim was 62-year-old Frank Damiano. Police say he was also known as Tony DellaPenna. He lived at 1 Corral Lane in Ashland. His body was first discovered around 4:30 p.m. Thursday when police responded to a welfare check in the Bear Creek Mobile Home Park.

Police have notified next of kin.
