Police Find Body Near Medford Railroad

MEDFORD, Ore. — The body of a man was found near the railroad tracks in south Medford on Monday morning.

Police officers discovered the body off south Central Avenue around 10 a.m. They said the man was a transient in his 30s, but are not releasing his name.

The cause of death has not been revealed, but police did say there was not any physical trauma and they said the cold weather may have played a role.

Police are still trying to notify the man’s family, and say the investigation is ongoing.
