MEDFORD, Ore. — Police arrested the man they believe went to great lengths to stab someone he didn’t even know.
The investigation into last week’s stabbing on Plum Street led investigators to a home on the 800 block of West 13th Street. While there, detectives noticed that evidence that someone involved in the stabbing was at the home.
Adan Manuel Valdez tried to leave when officers questioned him, and Medford Police say is resisted when they tried to arrest him. After searching the home detectives say they found evidence linking Valdez to last Wednesday’s stabbing.
Police believe he confronted a man, tried to attack him in west Medford, and then followed him into a home where the victim sought help, and stabbed him several times. He faces attempted murder and several other charges.
