High pressure will continue to usher in sunny, warm and dry conditions all weekend long! Offshore flow will return to the coast on Sunday and expect very warm temperatures along the Chetco River and in Gold Beach and Brookings. If you’re headed to the Pear Blossom Festival or anything fun outdoors make sure you wear sunscreen and remember to re-apply! I hope to see you at the parade at 11 Saturday along with some of the Newswatch12 gang!
Tuesday temperatures will drop about 10 to 15 degrees as the ridge begins to break down though the chance for showers that looked more promising early this week is looking less so now. I’ve kept isolated showers for coast late Wednesday with a chance for isolated showers for inland areas for the second half of the work week. Latest model runs are keeping these showers further north; we will continue to monitor but this dry spell may persist into next week if weather models continue on this drier track.
