MEDFORD, Ore. — The people living on Greystone Court in Medford are no strangers to fundraisers. In December, their homes are decked out in Christmas lights, but now, one home had their yard decked out in pink flamingos.
The flock left in a neighbor’s yard was all for a good cause, in an effort to raise money for Relay For Life. Team Hope came up with the fundraiser and will be “pinking” yards from now until May 31st when Relay For Life kicks off at Spiegelberg Stadium.
“For a donation of $20, you can have “pink cleanup” and we can come and clean it up, or, for $10, you can go and ‘pink’ your neighbor and pass the love along,” said Relay For Life Team Captain, Nicole DeFlavio.
You can donate and “pink” your neighbors by contacting the American Cancer Society’s Medford office between now and May 31.
