Pilots & Airplanes Head to Central Point

AirplanesCENTRAL POINT, Ore. — The Rogue Valley is hosting the “International Miniature Aircraft Association’s Rally of the Giant’s” through Sunday.

More than 100 pilots and 200 radio controlled airplanes are expected to come out during the four day showcase. The planes flying will have a wingspan of up to 80 inches.

The president of the Rogue Eagle R.C. Club says the event is typically held on the East Coast and they are honored to host the event that will bring pilots from all over the country and even some from Canada.

“It’s just awesome for our club, it’s the biggest event we’ve ever hosted here and it really puts the Rogue Eagles on the radio controlled map,” the president said.

The event is at Agate Sky Field in Central Point through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
