PHOENIX, Ore. — Late last night, police in Phoenix were called to a shooting that they describe as a prank gone wrong. The suspect in that shooting is behind bars this morning.
We now know that there were two victims released from the hospital this morning: a 13-year-old who was known to the suspect and a 26-year-old who was the suspect’s brother.
Around 10 p.m. last night, police responded to the corner of Oak and B Streets in Phoenix. They say 30-year-old Derrick Sharbono drove up and began shooting at the ground, hitting the 13-year-old and his 26-year-old brother, both in the foot.
Sharbono fled the scene of the shooting, but was later apprehended when police surrounded his home on Houston Road in Phoenix.
