Petitions Submitted for Public Safety

Change of Plans For Josephine CountyGRANTS PASS, Ore. — Josephine County residents are a step closer to voting again on a plan to restore public safety services.

Nearly 2,500 signatures on petitions was delivered to the Josephine County Clerk’s Office Wednesday to put a safety levy on the May ballot, about 500 more than required.

Elections workers are now checking signatures to be sure they are those of registered county voters. The deadline for completing the signature gathering is next week.
