Pet of the Week: Tomas

MEDFORD, Ore. – Overcrowding at all three Jackson County Animal Shelters is leaving them with more than 400 cats and kittens.

So, for the first time in the history of the shelters, they’re giving out adult cats for free – adult cats like Tomas, who is 5-years-old and very lovable.

Jackson County Animal Control, Southern Oregon Humane Society and the Committed Alliance To Strays or C.A.T.S shelters are teaming up for the event. This Saturday and Sunday, the shelter will waive the $45 fee for a cat, but regular adoption policies are still in place, with an application process and counseling.
