Pepper Spray Used in Vehicle Theft

Police GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Police are searching for three suspects in the case of a vehicle theft. Police and Fire personnel were dispatched to a reported crash in the 1200 block of Fruitdale Drive. When they arrived, however, they found the incident was not a crash, but a car theft.

The theft victim said he had been pepper sprayed in the face and his 2002 Chevy Malibu had been stolen. The victim did not suffer any other injuries besides being pepper sprayed. The vehicle is described as silver, with Washington license plates: AHN 8731.

The three suspects police are looking for are all in their late 20s to mid-30s. The first suspect is described as a white man, around 38 years old, about 5’5″ in height, heavy set, blonde hair and blue eyes. The second suspect is a white woman, around 28 years old, with black shoulder length hair, and brown eyes. The third suspect is described as a Hispanic man, around 28 years old, with black hair, and black eyes.

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is asking the public’s help in attempting to identify and/or locate the suspects and stolen vehicle. Please do not approach the vehicle or suspects if seen. Anyone with questions regarding this case is asked to call 541-450-6260.
