GRANTS PASS, Ore. – Weather contributed to an accident in Grants Pass on Monday. An unknown man, who police guess is in his 50’s, was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Grants Pass on Monday night. It happened just before 9 p.m., on 7th street.
Police received several calls about a man in dark clothing running down the middle of the dark street, banging on windows. Within seconds, another call came in, saying that the man had been hit by the car.
The pedestrian was air lifted to OHSU with multiple facial fractures, compound fractures to the right leg, and possible internal injuries. Police say in addition to the victim’s dark clothing and the poorly-lit street, the rain caused reduced visibility.
