GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- One thousand American flags are on display at Riverside Park in Grants Pass honoring veterans of all branches in all conflicts.

The display is called "A Salute to Our Heroes: The Healing Field of Southern Oregon".

Volunteers with the United Veterans of Josephine County set up the display this weekend as a way to honor veterans in a colorful, but quiet way.

In addition to the flags, an exhibit of uniforms and other memorabilia is in a tent next to the flag display. The exhibit is at the east end of Riverside Park.
