GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- A group of Grants Pass High School Students used their day off school Friday to knit caps for chemotherapy patients.

"It's a really hard time for them and their families. So if they can get a cute beanie from kids at a school, then maybe it'll help a little more," says GPHS Junior Jenna Lennon.

The yarn and looms used to make the caps were donated.

This is the sixth year GPHS students have knitted caps for cancer patients. The caps will be taken to local cancer center next week.
