Shhh, don't tell!

I knew today was going to be a great day when I got to have the last bit of cereal and milk for breakfast. It's not that I want to throw things away. I just like to be the person to finish things. I think it stems from my obsession with lists. I make shopping lists, chores lists, and even lists of things that I want to list about. But even more than that, I love to cross things off my list which gives me a sense of accomplishment. I get that same feeling by being the person to finish off the cheerios. Or if there is just one thank-you note left in my staionary box, I will find an excuse to write one. One stamp left? I'll mail a letter to grandma. Don't get me wrong... I don't like to waste things. I doubt my grandmother would ever say that one of her letters was wasteful. But, it gives me such a happy feeling to clear out space from a cabinet or my purse. Maybe that's why I don't carry cash in my wallet. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I spend it. Or, maybe that's a totally different pleasure.
