JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. — Pacific Power crews spent the weekend working to restore power for the thousands who have been in the dark for days. According to Pacific Power Spokesperson Monty Mendenhall, about 250 people are participating in the regional effort to restore power.
Crews were reportedly fighting bad weather conditions. Mendenhall said crews had to fix the same circuits multiple times because of precipitation. “We’ve made repairs in areas we’ve had to go back and we have additional snow that’s come on top of that. It’s been a factor of having to go back and repair the same circuits three and four and five times,” he said.
Mendenhall said crews expect to have power turned back on for folks in the Josephine County metro area by Monday evening. Although, some may not have it by that time.
