MEDFORD, Ore. — Two suspects are in Jackson County Jail after a pair of convenience store robberies.
22-year old Trevor Wiley and 32-year old Stephanie Flood were arrested around midnight after attempting to rob the Purple Parrot on East Barnett and the 7-11 on Crater Lake Ave. Both robberies occurred within a couple of hours.
Police say Wiley committed the robberies, while Flood served as lookout. They also say that, even if successful, these kinds of attempts are a big risk with little payoff.
A lot of the convenience stores, they post when you walk in, “we don’t have a lot of cash on hand, we deposit cash into a safe at a certain time.” So it’s a big risk.Sgt. Brent Mak
Police found the couple’s car and apprehended them shortly after the 7-11 robbery. They say they’re investigating whether or not this robbery was linked to a similar attempt in Central Point, but doubt the two are connected.
