MEDFORD, Ore.– Fire Officials have been warning residents for weeks, clean up yard debris to prevent wildfires. Now ignoring those warnings could cost you.
Starting Sunday, the City of Medford’s weed and grass ordinance will take effect. This means any violations to the city’s code could mean a fine.
According to the City’s municipal code, any property with unmaintained grass, weeds, brush, or similar vegetation over 10 inches tall must be taken care of. If the city has to take care of the maintenance, additional fees could be added.
