Out & About: Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo

Out and AboutMEDFORD, Ore. — It’s a full weekend of Wild West action as the Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo kicks off at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

From roping to riding to steer wrestling, this event features the best competitors from throughout the country and from right here in Southern Oregon. Watch the action in the arena or take in some of the many activities being offered including the mechanical bull and the rogue saloon. For the kids, the wild and wooly action of Mutton Bustin’ and the boot race.

The Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo runs Thursday through Saturday, June 1st. Ticket prices run from $13-$19 for adults, and $7-$11 for kids. The full schedule of events can be found at http://attheexpo.com/.

Saturday’s already gone to the dogs. The Dogs for the Deaf’s annual walk starts at 9:00. You can register the day of at Jacksonville Elementary School. There are agility demonstrations and coaching, lunch, costume contest, awards and of course the walk itself.

You’ll also have a chance to meet some big celebs, stars from the ABC family hit show, “Switched at Birth.” Their dogs will be the Grand Marshals of this year’s event.

The fair came to town early in Klamath Falls. The county fairgrounds is home to the “Davis Carnival” this weekend. The rides, games, vendors and food booths are already set up and rolling.

You can head out tomorrow from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 8:00 p.m. A $26 wristband will have you tilt-a-whirling till you drop.
