ASHLAND, Ore. — From the arts to the sciences, there is a little of everything going on this weekend.
It’s the classic tale of music, love and life on Broadway. Camelot Theatre in Talent is extending the run of its current musical production of “42 Street”.
This Tony-award winning musical is the quintessential celebration of Broadway and the people involved in show business. 42nd street started out as a movie in 1933 starring, among others, Ginger Rogers. It opened on Broadway in 1980. Musical hits include Lullaby of Broadway, You’re Getting To Be A Habit With Me and the title song 42nd Street. The show runs through Sunday. ScienceWorks hands-on museum in Ashland is offering several ways to play and learn this weekend. In the “Toy Science” exhibit, classic games and toys are more than just child’s play. Find out how games like “Kerplunk”, “Connect Four”, “Battling Tops” and more bring principles of science and physics to life.
Experience the world of nano science with an interactive, hands-on exhibit designed to help kids explore this tiny technology. You can also test your athletic abilities in the interactive sportsology arena where you can explore different kinds of athletic abilities including strength, speed, endurance, balance, coordination and agility. Scienceworks hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5.00 to $7.50.
