You can walk in the shoes of Hansel and Gretel at least until the fairy tale takes a twist at this year’s Gingerbread Jubilee. You wouldn’t dare pull a piece of the brilliant works of art on display at the Craterian Theatre.
The auction of these masterpieces is Friday, then Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the community is invited to enjoy the enchanting sights and smells from 10 to 6 p.m.
This weekend is your chance to “Paws for Art” during “C.A.T.S” biggest fundraiser of the year. The late Carol Rose’s art is on display at 37 Central Avenue. It’s available for viewing and purchase through Saturday. The Southern Oregon artist’s husband donated the 72 piece collection of 2 and 3-dementional water color to Committed Alliance to Strays.
Experience a first with Phoenix High School as the students premiere “Coraline: the Musical” on a high school stage. Adapted from the popular children’s book, the show is almost entirely student produced. There is a Friday night show at 7:00 and a matinee this Saturday at 2:00. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and are available at Ray’s Food Store in Phoenix or at the door.
Take a look behind the barrel this weekend in the Applegate. The barrel tour features 18 wineries, some of which will be serving up tastings of unreleased wines and all of which will be pairing select wines with seasonal appetizers. Take your time, during the self-paced driving tour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
