This weekend you can get a taste of Christmas a little early, check out a piece of entertainment history and travel the yellow brick road.
The Roxy Ann Gem and Mineral Society is hosting its Annual Christmas Bazaar at the Crater Rock Museum on Saturday. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Scenic Avenue in Central Point.
There will be an hourly door prize drawing and everyone who visits gets a free chance to participate. You can view polished rocks and gems, and enjoy the bake sale. Admission is free.
This weekend you can take a tour of the Holly Theatre. On Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., take a 45 minute tour of the entertainment venue that first opened in 1930. It closed in 1936 and these tours are designed to help the remodel project.
You can learn about the building’s history and also see what’s in store for its future. The Holly Theatre is at 266 West Sixth Street in Medford. It’s a free event, but donations are welcome.
Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow and Tinman are back at the Oregon Cabaret Theatre. The Wizard of Panto Land will take you down the yellow brick road.
This holiday comedy will feature wild costumes and wacky humor. It kicks off tomorrow, night performances are at 8 p.m. and brunch matinee packages are available for 1 p.m.
This Saturday, you can experience the energy of Latin big band music inspired by sounds from the ’40s through the ’60s! It’s the Pacific Mambo Orchestra with Tito Puente, Jr. at the Craterian Theater.
The dynamic orchestrations and vocal talents of this stellar 19-piece troupe have established it as a force in the mambo, salsa and Latin jazz music scene.
