The Teen Musical Theater of Oregon is taking to the stage with a tale of gangsters, romance, and mistaken identities.
“The Drowsy Chaperon” is a rare original. It all begins when a die-hard musical theater fan plays his favorite cast album on his turntable, and the musical literally bursts to life in his living room, telling the rambunctious tale of a brazen Broadway starlet trying to find, and keep, her true love.
It’s a wacky musical within a comedy featuring great songs and dancing, Hollywood characters and even some blindfolded roller-skating. The show features a cast of talented young local performers.
“The Drowsy Chaperon” is at the Craterian Theater on Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m. Contact the Craterian Box Office for ticket information.
