ASHLAND, Ore. — This weekend you can taste artisan foods from Southern Oregon’s vendors at the Winter Wine Event in Gold Hill.
On Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., there will be wine, food and fun at the 10th Annual Event, at Del Rio vineyards on North River Drive in Gold Hill.
The event starts for general admission at 1 p.m., but wine club members can arrive as early as noon. Admission is $15 at the door and $10 for members.
The city of Ashland is hosting its annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday. The event takes place on Monday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Ashland Armory and then is followed by a presentation of the “I Have a Dream” speech on the Ashland Plaza. The event is free to the public.
The Chamber Music Concerts is honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Junior with a tribute concert. The event will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Southern Oregon University Music Recital Hall.
The program will feature a Chicago-based brass quintet, the Axiom Brass, and a reading of some of Dr. King’s speeches and letters by Lawson Inada, the fifth poet laureate of the state of Oregon. Admission is free.
