Out & About: “King of City Island” and The Fifth Annual Vintage Faire

This weekend in Talent, it’s a tale of petty gangsters, love and tai chi all set in the Bronx. The Camelot Theatre’s newest production, “King of City Island”, is a funny and often touching look at who we need to become in order to truly love another person.

The play runs Thursdays to Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through May 27th. Camelot is offering a two for one special on tickets for this weekend’s shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Call the Camelot Box Office to reserve your tickets.

The Fifth Annual Vintage Faire will take you to a world of Old West reenactments. Characters in full western garb bring “O.K. Corral”-style shootouts to life. Sample foods cooked in old-fashion Dutch ovens; take a carriage ride, pet an alpaca and so much more. The Vintage Faire is Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Butte Creek Mill. Trolley rides to the event will leave from Eagle Point High School. Admission is free.
