MEDFORD, Ore. — Classic cars and country stars are out this weekend in the Rogue Valley and if you’re up for ice fishing with your family, NewsWatch 12 has all the details in this week’s Out & About!
You can check out more than 100 showroom-quality custom cars this weekend for a good cause. The Southern Oregon Rod and Custom Show will display everything from vintage classics to muscle cars and custom hot rods. It’s Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jackson County Expo. There will be more than 70 vendors, kids activities and raffles. Tickets are eight dollars for adults, two dollars for kids six to twelve and free for kids under five. All the ticket money will help local children with medical disabilities. Last year the event totalled $32,000.

Fish and Wildlife specialists want to take you and your family fishing this weekend. The Oregon Department of Fish and Widlife will hold a workshop on Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Diamond Lake Resort area. For the first time, you and your family can ice fish year round. The fishermen will show you how to ice fish safely and successfully. It’s $40 dollars for an adult and $10 for a teen.
