It’s a multi-media spectacle under the big top at Crater High School and pets take to the runway sporting the latest for furry fashionistas.
Crater High School
Reality TV is a circus, quite literally, this weekend at the Crater High School Performing Arts Center. the entire auditorium becomes the stage for media circus”, a spectacle of pop culture under the big top.
On-stage, a young man seeks the help of a sound archivist and a reality TV star to help his dying mother. Throw in some whacky circus characters and a little audience participation and you’ve got an evening of zany fun for all.
“Media Circus” is an original production developed by Crater Alum Jared Goode, drama instructor Matthew Reynolds and Crater Drama students. the show runs Thursdays through Saturdays, this weekend and next. tickets are available at the door.
Nanda’s “The Jacket”
Friday night at the Craterian, it’s a ninja-style mix of “The Matrix” and “The Three Stooges”. Nanda, a four-man troupe who brought their acrobatic ninja moves to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Green Show last summer, are bring their high-energy show, “The Jacket” to the Craterian Stage for one night only. Pet Fashion Show
North Medford Pet Country
A parade of pets is taking to the runway this Saturday, sporting the latest in trendy animal attire and raising money for a local shelter. The 7th Annual Grange Co-Op Pet Fashion Show is part of a full day of activities at the North Medford Pet Country Store on North Pacific Highway.
It all starts at 7 a.m. with free popcorn, cotton candy, balloons, prizes, and giveaways throughout the day. Activities include a silent auction and even Santa will be on hand for photos with pets. The barbecue and pet fashion show are at 6 p.m. All funds raised go to Friends of the Animal Shelter.
Jackson County Expo
On Friday and Saturday, head out to the Jackson County Expo to find the perfect one-of-a-kind handmade gift. More than 200 vendors will be on hand with unique gift items, artisan foods, pet products and more. The Holiday Market is the largest craft fair in the rogue valley and it’s Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
Dancing With The Rogue Valley

Of course, you can’t miss the Fourth Annual Dancing With The Rogue Valley Stars. You can see Chris Leone and Erin Maxson, along with the other 10 local stars at Saturday’s matinee at 2:00 p.m. and the evening show at 7:00 p.m. You can find out more about this major fundraiser for the Southern Oregon Chapters of Sparrow Clubs and USA Dance online.
