Scrooge, A Magical Musical

‘Tis the season for classic holiday tales and musical theater and this weekend there is no shortage of opportunities for both.
At the Randall Theatre of Medford it’s a trip back to the Victorian London of Charles Dickens in “Scrooge, A Magical Musical”. Scrooge’s journey to redemption has all the familiar characters from the dickens tale, punctuated with sparkling song and dance numbers.
The show runs this weekend and next with two performances on Saturdays. Reserve your seat online for 12 dollars or “pay what you want” at the door for available seating.
Camelot Theatre, Talent
Camelot Theatre’s production of “42nd Street” is sure to have you tapping your toes along with dancing feet onstage. This Tony award-winning musical is the story of an aspiring chorus girl who finds herself in the right place at the right time on her road to stardom.

Teen Musical Theater Of Oregon
The Teen Musical Theater of Oregon is singing and dancing their way through a holiday favorite.
Meredith Willson’s musical adaptation of “Miracle On 34th street” tells the story of a department store Santa who helps a young girl and the entire state of new york believe in Christmas magic. Shows are Friday and Saturday only at the Craterian Theater.

If the nutcracker ballet is part of your holiday tradition. The still-point dance studio presents their 21st annual full-length production of the nutcracker.
The final performances are Saturday and 2 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $20, $15 and $12 and Studio Roxander presents it’s 3rd annual production of “The Nutcracker” at the Crater High School Performing Arts Center.

Bigham Knoll, Jacksonville
Experience the wonder of the first Christmas with the Living Nativity at Bigham Knoll in Jacksonville. Scenes before and after the birth of Christ will be presented by five Jacksonville church groups.
The Living Nativity can be seen on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 7pm. Admission is free.
